Share 'Site layout / themes?'

Are there any options for this? The site as is feels.. very default, spartan, and uncomfortable. pdcmagic.com's forums are in such a standardized format that browsing them is second nature. The discussion / forum areas here feel alien and uninviting... something that will ultimately contribute to less usage. That said... does this "ning" allow for themes or redesign or layout changes?
