Pauper Tourney

Just played in my first ever paper Pauper tourney here at the local gameshop. It was a ton of fun! 21 players total, 4 rounds of Swiss into T8. $4 to play, participation foil and T8 foil. Not sure what the top prizes were. I don't have nearly as many paper cards as I do online, so my deck wasn't quite the best. 40-Card Pauper Starters

Had an idea for "intro" decks of my own. 40-card "Pauper Starters" that focus on fun and interactivity so people who don't know the game can get into it. I want to limit confusion, but maximize fun. Limit of 2 copies of any given card, no sideboard. I want to make one for each of the 10 color pairs. So far I have green-blue and red-white. These are in paper. Why Ning?

There are several reasons I think Ning is a good direction to explore for the future of PDC's web presence. First, it's free. You can't argue with that. Second, it allows for much greater user input in the creation and maintenance of content, data, and information. More people can do more stuff at any time, without worrying as much about access levels and all that. Third, it allows for 'commenting' on almost every type of content, which is (IMO) a huge benefit.
